In other news,

a) new default icon! Danny icons so well (among other things. Talented guy). I identify most with Zoe, quite obviously, but I have yet to finish her icon.

b) all the wackos bother me at home: When I returned Saturday, some female in hysterics called me, screaming and sobbing high-pitchedly into the phone that the mobile I'd sold her on eBay was NOT WORKING! Needless to say I never sold anyone a mobile phone (and if I did, it'd be functional). Then, just a minute ago, someone rang my doorbell and purred into the intercom that he was a Telekom consultant, could I please let him in? Now, our German Telekom has no customer service (and for that demands plenty of money). No way that company initiates unsolicited Telecom consulting chats at 7:15pm. I stopped pressing the button and locked my door. Call me paranoid. Or, just call me.

c) I had some physiotherapy. Therapist, too, said I should get MRI'ed again, what with recurring pain around a spinal fracture not being a good thing.

No new cracks in old worldviews for Rita. She'd lost faith along with her right front tooth.

Still.... "Somewhere fun?"

"Yeah." The woman grins, impossibly wide, jerks her head at the hotel. "Don't get me wrong -- sweet digs, promised land; we're grateful. I'm bored."

Governmental announcements regarding these particular aliens mentioned heightened security, so she smiles carefully. "Well, there's South Beach...although, entry can be tricky."

"Not for me." Another grin, reckless. Charming. "Come along."

"No!"

"Yes."

"I'm working!"

"I'll wait. Still light out, anyway." Alien from across the universe, but for the first time in ages, Rita thinks, maybe.




e) NEW SGA. I CAN'T WAIT. I just must, since I have to study for an hour more and will talk to Auburn afterwards. That's okay.
