This icon is so, you know, me. When [info]dar_jeeling gave it to me, I laughed. That was right before realising that my internet friends know me way too well.

Although not a PWP writer (oh, shut up), ages ago, I checked out the Porn Battle prompts...and was inspired for a triple drabble that I now found again on my iPAQ. Oops. Watch the rating, though.

Alias, rated G, spoilers for "Remnants" (S3). Prompt can be found below.

He loves her – still, always – but these days, his love for Sydney is complex.

Jonah remembers a time when even Wisconsin winds and the so-solid weight of a hammer in his hands couldn't quite convince him this life was real. Was his.

Now, he finds it hard to remember anything but – not on an intellectual level; he hasn't forgotten anything. The memory of L.A., college, work and play is abstract, though, bullet points in a curriculum vita he can never use, a collection of snapshots.

Dust motes in a ray of sunlight that hits the stack of papers on his office desk. The oval of the stadium, impossibly green after judicious irrigation. Her smile, dazzling and sweet.

Not soft, of course. Sydney was never soft. She'd yield, but only so far, and she wouldn't break. Others would instead.

That her – all their – enemies were brought to justice (or a close approximation thereof; Jonah isn't fickle, not anymore) has given him a grim sort of satisfaction, even pride, from the beginning.

It took him longer to realise that, through no fault of her own, Sydney didn't just affect the lives of the villains of this piece.

Prompt: Syd/Will, home, soft.

Maybe you should wash YOUR NOSE.

(Seriously, yesterday, looking for cold cures? I saw this nose douche, and contemplated buying it...before realising it'd be so uncomfortable that I, for one, would end up not using it, anyway.)

My nose is fine thank you!

Considering you are the one who was complaining about lack of tastebuds, then ... I am gonna win this argument. :P

(Hmm, only use if your sinuses are really bad. I mean, really, really, really bad cause it is kind of hideous to use otherwise. Can work though. Otherwise bowl of hot water with towl and eucalypt oil is a good method)

My tastebuds are fine -- most of what we call "taste" re: food & drink is actually "smell," sensory information taken in by the nose, not the tongue.

(And they are pretty bad, but I think it's too nasty -- I've heard folks who used it call the procedure terrible and unbearable. But maybe they were wusses like me?)

Yes and so is your nose still stuffed?

*raises eyebrow*

Cause then your nose is not fine. :P

(depends on how much pain from your sinuses you are in - if it is enough, then believe me.. the procedure is just nasty more than anything else. Anything to ease the clawing face off feeling)

Enough that I keep popping painkillers like candy. I don't deal with pain well, not at all, and this is a particularly awful, inhibiting one.

But you say inhaling is as good yet not so expensive..? I'll do that, then.

Tried something to clear the sinuses? Tablet wise that is, not just pain killers. To reduce the swelling.

It can be, but if your sinuses are truly blocked it will only give temporary relief. You have to put something like eucalypt, menthol, camphor in the water though - something that can cut through when the steam softens.

Hrgh, yes. Guess I must leave the house and spend money again.

My parents have an inhalator, and menthol, and whatnot (as in, What NOT?), but ack, they are miles and miles away....
