Hmm, I need a programme that allows me to rewind and fast-forward so I can gloss over all the impurities (and we're talking about the ones on top of my accent). If you know of such a thing, please share; I checked download.com in vain.

I saw the coupon and thought, hmm, right, THERE WAS SOMETHING I NEEDED TO PURCHASE.

Your podfics are high quality, so that's good. (Of course, your English sounds much better than mine, and certainly more British. You're one of the folks gifted with the ability to reproduc sounds heard and listened to -- I can learn languages with ease (and lots of structure), true, but I don't necessarily have the "ear" for them.

	Yeah, yeah, it's okay; lots of folks sound worse...but a few sound a lot more authentic. g The good thing is that people usually cannot place me, either -- they recognise I do have an accent but are unable to pinpoint the source. & ;-) Amusing, indeed. OH, PEOPLE. (Reply to this)(Parent)

	It's really great! When I made my one and only podfic recording, I depended on it all the way! Re accent, ironically, Isis and Lim independently commented on how I suddenly acquire a German accent when reading out loud that I don't have when conversing. Hmpf. :) (Reply to this)(Parent)(Thread)

	Yeah, conversations are different because we pick up audio!clues from our partner. Most people adjust to the other person's or persons' speech to some degree -- non-native speakers undoubtedly more so than others. (Reply to this)(Parent)

	Thank you! Don't know if you were around when I mentioned that, but I used to be a lector at church -- people occasionally came up to me after mass and told me they liked how I read it. And oh, yes, please! I would totally love to hear you (and your stories, or poetry). (Reply to this)(Parent)
