Meeting selenak was also of the good: a lunch of hearty German dishes at the Spatenhaus, a lot of tv talk, and tea at her (fabulous) place, with a taste of Old Who and me leaving with two DVD sets under my arm as kindly lent to me: Lost in Austen & the first season of Six Feet Under.

Could've done without the rain, but I'm sure so could the million-plus of Munich inhabitants, let alone the other tourists.

Back from Berlin: friends & food & drink & art - met eretria and kskitten, which is kind of to be expected as they do live there, but also lovebytez who had a v. cool art installation - part of Pictoplasma - in Berlin just this week: serendipity.

Kitten, I think I left the glitter pens e. gave me at your place after showing them so proudly? (Yes, she did. e., I mean: she bought them after hearing of last year's accident and now handed them over in person.)

1. Friday is class day, so I'm back when it's still light outside. I feel disorientated. (Also a little tired, but I have no idea whether that's due to yesterday's flu shot or, you know, the fact I didn't sleep much all week, every week.)

2. rez_lo's parcel of MI-5/Spooks got here, no thanks to the German customs service. (She's lending me Seasons One to Three; can't wait to check it out.)

3. And that wasn't the end of me being spoiled: so_spiffed gifted me with original art of hers -- I'll put it up, just need a nice (i.e. simple and classic) frame. And, even more badly, a new digicam to share with the world. But, well. You know.

4. Gotta love posting both fiction in a large fandom and musings that get metafandom'ed: ( ... ) Regarding the comments to that question of mine -- see #5; I'll get back to it all when I return home, which should be tomorrow night or so.

5. Managed to catch a ride to pay a visit to an old friend from university days. Traditionally, the equation is Tina + Mona = Fun, as we founded a Mutual Adoration Society early on. ( More about that and other stuff loosely connected to it )

Leaving tomorrow to celebrate my ersatz-grandmother's diamond wedding -- married for sixty years, wow -- and my mother's birthday just a day later. I made my dear Mama a li'l something, and since she doesn't read this LJ (God, one hopes), I'll share what I made for her -- whether you want that or not.

You? I sure didn't, burned badly from most of the Jossverse ones I stumbled upon, probably because I couldn't really appreciate taking the metaphor out of the story...anyway.

This, I warn you, has few redeeming qualities and probably requires reading her first two chapters.
