  Made for a veritable riffer like me. ;)

• my SGA Secret Santa assignment. I had been hoping for this wish, and I got it, also happening to adore the wish-er. Already got the big picture of my story - if not the details - mapped out in my mind. 's all good.

• SGA Big Bang, all live and in colour. No time right now, but boy, I foresee a few fantastic months of great Atlantis novelisations. (Y'all, keep reccin'!)
  
  Must also mention the artists: I cannot wait to check out what they created and would totally do it before reading the stories if only the images and vids weren't per se spoilery. I'm constantly in awe of some of my fellow fans' talent (and basically chanting, WE ARE NOT WORTHY in advance).

Today, despite not coming home too late, I had to force myself to the gym: Hard to resist ( the new netbook )

Like, is there a way to permanently kill Windows Media Player (which keeps popping up on my desktop with a link)? Or generally wipe the hard-drive of useless Microsoft crap? With "only" 160 GB of harddrive space - that I cannot locate, btw; adding up only gives this admittedly challenged math-user 146 GB - I have even less use for their critters of programmes.

In any case, while the Asus desktops are quite tasteful, I installed this one I made m'self as the new background:

Brain drain: only for professionals going away? I mean, I feel pretty drained even after staying in Germany, what with coming home only now - and going back tomorrow at an hour that recalls prepunctual feathered creatures.

This story (her John: oh, her John) is one of my all-time favourites, and I figured that especially in the face of woeful comments from certain SGA friends, recs are always good, and those done via other media than words might be even better.

Next up: presenting kaneko's Intersections as an interpretive dance.

But back to my "artwork:" Comments and criticism very, very welcome - I'd love to modify it according to other fanartists suggestions before posting it to any noticeboard. ciderpress, machinistm, I'm lookin' at you.

While I'm at it, have I already recommended busaikko's War Stories universe, with the latest story already linked above? Well, I do now. Yes, she is the author who gives Sheppard AIDS, a penis where it doesn't belong, and, in this 'verse, a disability, but trust me, it always Makes Sense, is always worth the read. ♥

But let me re-fresh your memories first: Whispers, yes. The episode with the planet of the mutants. Who looked like zombies. And produced killer fog. (I KNOW.) Still, a 100% women team. Um, yay?

Honeys, I'm home. Much as I love the parents, it was Time with a capital T, and besides: work again tomorrow. Had first Em (bringing herself, and how!) and then Mikey (bringing coffee & muffins for the three of us; it should seems to become a habit, after the last time when I was in hospital) over, though, so while the apartment was lonely when I came back, the evening at least wasn't.

In fannish news, I'm still not over SGA 5x19 Vegas. I couldn't cope (just couldn't cope /JCSS) and had to create a wallpaper-header-type graphic:

I had mentioned that if you really want to watch Vegas, you can tug at my virtual sleeve, yeah? sheafrotherdon gave us a first tiny glimpse at her episode tag story, too.

Loved the idea, raised my eyebrow at parts -- or members, ahem -- of the execution, and had ( one dominant impression of SGA 5x03 Outsiders )

Need to go to bed now, far from healthy in more than one way, but I need, yes, no, really need to share two (slightly improved) screencaps of Outsiders with you, courtesy of colls. One is goofy yet pitch-perfect, one is gorgeous.
