When I got to Los Angeles, turned out that Jen's roommate C had just ordered Season Five of SGA on Netflix. Does this re-define serendipity, or what? Even before, Sleipnir's computer had the. Biggest. Screen. Ever.

Now, mind that for most of these, I didn't have PhotoShop, okay? Those are from a hi-res post, though. Who of my awesome flist made that one, again? Um.

I just made pancakes with fresh fruit salad, sleipnirrr is baking them on the griddle (with butter, mmh), and ascian3 will come up to eat 'em for our little brunch together. Asian Art Museum after that; all of us want to see the Photographic Memories exhibition.

Second date with Butler!Boy went well: I wore a cute grey dress, he was a good guy and lifted my bike into the streetcar, and we ate our way up & down the sushi menu at the Japanese restaurant of our second third choice, which means ( foodie talk! )

In fannish news, I'm disappointed that not a single person commented upon my mcshep_match drabbles. I don't wish for hordes (not hoards; where would I store those?) of slavering minions but welcome criticism or pointers too. I just find that it's most frustrating to spend that hour between coming-home-from-work-at midnight and 1am writing drabbles, and have not one single person find it worthy of one single word of comment.

Yeah, yeah: entitled fanwriter is entitled, cry more, etc. pp. But it's my lj; I can whine if I want to.

Still watching Dollhouse, which by this point looks more like a tornado than a show because it leaves me blown away and torn, and do plan to write down my thoughts, definitely comparing it to Watchmen, possibly comparing it to Supernatural.

TV? I could squeeze in one ep just now, just like yesterday and the day before. Because randomeliza loved it so, I popped in Skins, and while it works only as a farce for me (if admittedly very well, then), I've been enjoying Series Three so far. ( Skins 3x01 - 3x03, with miffed musings on fandom as well some more joyous sentiments. )

In conclusion: Kids these days: They give me hope, sometimes.

I baked a cake, but I eated 1/4 of it.

...no, really, I did. Thankfully (or not), I took photos of the crispy-golden glory it was before that.

In actuality, this is the mother of all muffins...but turns out I misplaced my little silicone muffin forms sometime during the last move. Ah, well. Double the baking time, double the fun, right? Lower the temperature for the second half, too; that way, it did turn out baked through & through yet deliciously moist.

I gleefully noticed runpunkrun has made a Stargate Atlantis mini mix called, 'Blowjob Queen.' Of course, it's a John Sheppard soundtrack composed entirely of Liz Phair songs - inspired by those Trio shots. Yes, those shots. Of course.

But. That's still not quite what I wanted to post about. (Jesus, is it 11:08pm again? Don't answer that.) What I really wanted to do from the beginning was to post these
