As for the actual topic of the community post, John Sheppard's uh, physique, there may also be relevant galleries created by fellow fannish...enthusiasts here & here. I'm just sayin'.

While I've caught my parents' flu-ish bug, my dear Busaikko has written a most curative story for me.

Frequently Wrong but Never in Doubt by busaikko

Sheppard went, sat, and looked politely away as Rodney pulled on his discarded boxers. "I talked to Jeannie. My plane was delayed; she said to just come here." Sheppard made another awkward noise. "She said you said we could share the room, and. Um."

It's just what I was currently looking for in a story or a good cup of tea: hot and sweet, with that little extra dash of milkje ne sais quoi. Visits to Earth are a favourite of mine, and it's no secret that busaikko's writing gets me where I live, evocative and visceral, with a John that makes my heart ache so pleasantly and a Rodney who's true to the show yet makes me smile a lot more often.

Also sharing 6 SGA icons made over time. That's something I have now, eh? & :-/

P.P.S.: I have, however, watched Ghost in the Machine. It's not that I disliked all of it; it's just ( a spoiler! )

Don't get me wrong, the evening was great -- old friends, cooking up the usual Mexican dinner together (tacos and fresh salsa and 'mole and nachos and elote and more), lounging on Mikey's new couch to watch an obscure Reese Witherspoon movie. Just, is it too much to ask that the headache does not start before the night is even over and before one is even drunk? Ouch. As much as I love freshly made mojitos, cheap rum needs to be outlawed. &>:-/

Either way, here's what I didn't get to before I left the house:

Happy birthday, eleveninches -- you said you wouldn't say no to pretty icons; I'm not sure that is quite the term that comes to mind, but I sure do hope they make you smile.

That very last one there is one I originally reserved for e., right before I realised that ciderpress had already made one like it (only better) a long time ago...and that e. uses it, too. I could take this as sad proof that it's not just pouty 13-year-olds who get rather...inspired by other people's fanart, or I guess I might just as well assume that the way John Sheppard looks at Rodney McKay makes a thousand icon-makers create icons just like these.
