The Last Ripper
Studying, but I have to share how blissed-out I am about about TheLastRipper: It's a programme that allows you to (duh) rip your last.fm station songs--it automatically saves them to the My Music folder, makes the respective Artist & Album ones, and seems to be super-spiffy all around.
Of course, I'm lucky that in my country, ripping internet radio is completely legal. No copyright infringement through others called for etc. pp.

Saving Internet Radio
The US Copyright Office has released their new set of rates for the payment of royalties by Internet Radio, and they ignored all of the facts presented by webcasters (including RP) and gave the record industry exactly what they asked for: royalty rates so high that they will put RP and every other independent webcaster out of business. See Kurt Hanson's newsletter for 3/2/07 for the details on how the rates work and what they will mean to stations like RP. [...]
For some time, we've suffered with a system where we pay a large chunk (10%-12%) of our income to the Big 5 record companies - while FM stations and radio conglomerates like Clear Channel pay nothing. Now they want even more. In our case, an amount equal to 125% of our income. Our only hope is to create as much public awareness and outrage about this staggeringly unfair situation as possible. Neither the record industry nor Congress are ready to listen to us at this point. But members of the media may well be, and we need to get their attention.

which mankind cannot comprehend
Straight from work to the concert hall by the river with, fine, a detour to a coffee shop for a cream cheese bagel dinner: ( Concert, avec les parents )
witchsis, I'll call you tomorrow. Today, if I'm pedantic. (Stop snickering at my use of "if.")
To all of you whom it concerns: Thank you.

Auburn And Mona Chat!
( About the character in *Sunday*...yeah, exactly. )
( About that character, and that female character, and a male one. )
[Warning for language, although, really -- goes without saying considering the subject:]
( About Queer Punk )
Auburn: And John is so very, very the guy in "Femme Fatale."
Mona: OH! *delight*
Mona: *is checking out the song lyrics on the net*
Auburn: *waits for you to fall over laughing*
Mona: OH MY GOD
Mona: THAT IS PERFECTLY SHEPPARD!
Auburn: Hi, honey, I'm homo!
Auburn: I think I should post in my journal begging for anyone who has their albums to post them for the good of the fandom.
ETA(Mona): Gentle reader, you don't happen to have the track?
Auburn: Oh, God, you want shmoop?
Auburn: I'll give you shmoop.
Mona: Only from you: YES.
( About schmoop. Ard-kinda-shmoop. Not really spoilery, though. Writing it. )

You can just thank the heavens that I am not a vidder...
...because if that had been one of my skills, oh boy!
But what can I say -- I listened to this song over and over when it was, err, over with my first boyfriend: Nineteen & In Love could be the subtitle of this, or possibly So Much For Self-Therapy, Really.
Hadn't thought about it in a while, but listening to old mp3s, this one line caught my ear: "Does anybody know the way to Atlantis?"
So I made this
; thought, hmm, there's also this other line plus that screencap...
And the rest, as they say, is history. In icon-making. (I'm sorry.)

Saturday, neurotic New Yorkers, and us
Any of you seen Melinda and Melinda? If yes, did you also think Woody Allen's alter ego was the lovechild of Ben Stiller and John McEnroe? ( So, we watched the film. )
Afterwards, we went to this wine bar & restaurant next door ( where... )
Subconsciously, I'd chosen an excellent day to clean and tidy my apartment: I was able to catch good parts of the Live 8 Concerts, and it seems I was lucky to have watched it on various German channels who refrained from commenting too much and just kept broadcasting from London, Berlin, Philadelphia, Rome...
