Rosa Parks, rest in peace. butterfly spoke my mind: So, hearing that she died and hearing that she'd only been ninety-two, it really puts into relief the fact that this whole civil rights thing is taking... well, a pretty long time. I can read facts and numbers and know that we had Jim Crow laws into the 1960's, but reading that Rosa Parks died in 2005 at the age of 92 really reminds me that segregation wasn't all that long ago.

During my break -- after eating Thai (both of us) and buying a new coffee pot (just him), I idly made this icon and (while secretly quite fond of some of those emo text brushes out there) decided to add text that befits Aeryn Sun...

...and remembered that last round of the poetry meme, with notable contributions seen at selenak's or thisficklemob's. In a flash of...well, whatever, I came up with something something semi-suitable:
