Arrived safe'n sound at kangeiko's after the quickest-ever trip into London. Was greeted not only by Kangeiko & a steaming cup of tea but also her flatmate in her underwear--laundry day, she hastened to tell me.

Either way, this party sure is off to a great start.

I need to go out and buy milk for that dash in my Lady Grey. Yes, I'm acclimatising already. Aw, London, most appealing moloch I've ever seen.

Still working my way through aforementioned 300 pages, but in the other hand, I've got some surprises: cindergal, got your gorgeous UNICEF card, and oh, kangeiko--found the package with your lovely tea from The Tea House @ Covent Garden and your even lovelier card; I'm currently brewing two cups of the Christmas Tea (spicy black tea + orange peel, cinnamon, ginger & vanilla pieces) and will tomorrow have a huge pot of Christmas Chai (Indian black tea + cardamom, ginger, cloves & black pepper).

Back from Important Errands and drinking Keemun Gongfu from the tea store, but in these dark pre-Exam days, I had to share

a) with all you fellow lovers of Atlantis that SGA seems to have been re-newed for a 5th season. & :-D

b) with all you fellow lovers of tv the Hey Nielsen! site where you can leave opinions and vote for your favourite shows, actors, musicians, and media miscellanea. I have no idea what an impact this will actually have, but yes, this is the actual Nielsen company, and if I know one thing about y'all, it's the fact you're not exactly averse to communicating your ideas and perspectives.

Back to the books now; lessons at 4pm today.

Also, as mentioned two posts before, I talked on the phone with a friend yesterday; you know what extended phone-time means:

Before my late-night rendez-vous with auburnnothenna, the friend I mentioned did pay me a visit. No movie-going, though; we stayed in my apartment and chatted and drank our body weight in tea. I know, I know, not even alcohol -- I was sick(ish), she was by car, and both of us are clearly getting old.

Mona: *ponder* Hey, all in one go: When I'll bring you to the door, I'll take out the trash, too.
Ani: ?!

Come to think of it, "taking out the trash" will never sound the same to me after watching a season of Dexter.

Listening to this otherwise rather fabulous song, something that has been bothering me for ages now: The French word "femme" is not pronounced [fem]. It's pronounced [fam] with a short "ah.". (Usage of the term "femmeslash" as if it were the same as "femslash" makes me cranky for the same reason.)

Stood at the cashier of the organic supermarket right next to my pt office, had this old lady -- perfectly coiffed, expensive beige coat -- look at my groceries and inquire about my use for the ginger root, whereupon I told her I'd pestle it with my awesome caipirinha pestle, featuring heavily in this LJ every summer, and add it to my black tea plus sugar and milk for maximum spicy goodness. She seemed genuinely interested and told me she'd have to try that, too.

In conclusion, I win at spreading the love for tea variations but lose at everything else: don't ask about my five-hour exam this morning.
